Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Labela mobile application provided by Bakay Partners.

1. Agreement

By downloading, accessing, or using Labela (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is provided by Bakay Partners (info@bakaypartners.com).

2. The Service

Labela is a mobile relationship-support experience with guided reflection, mood check-in, persona onboarding, partner-profile flows, and AI-assisted chat sessions delivered via our backend (REST and WebSocket). Features may vary by platform (Android / iOS) and release phase.

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features. We may offer free and paid capabilities in the future; current Terms do not grant rights to unpaid future commercial offers.

3. Not medical or psychological treatment

Labela is not medical care, psychotherapy, counselling by a licensed professional, or an emergency service. As stated in the in-app disclaimer: it is not medical or psychological treatment and does not replace a licensed professional.

If you are in crisis or danger, contact local emergency services or the crisis resources presented in the app (for Türkiye, helplines such as those shown on the crisis-resources screen). Do not rely on Labela for emergency help.

4. Eligibility

You must be legally able to form a binding contract and meet any age requirements presented at registration (including age-confirmation consents collected by the apps). The Service is intended for adults.

5. Accounts & security

  • Provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Sign-in may use email/password, Google, and/or Apple where enabled.
  • You may request account deletion where the product provides that control; deletion is permanent as described in-app.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt our systems or other users;
  • upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content;
  • use the Service to provide clinical diagnosis or to replace professional care for others;
  • reverse engineer the apps except where mandatory law allows;
  • scrape, overload, or automate access in ways that impair the Service.

If you use microphone, camera, or media features when offered, you must only submit content you have the right to share and that complies with these Terms and applicable law.

7. AI-generated content

Responses may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence through our backend. Output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your situation. You remain responsible for how you interpret and act on any content. In-app consents (including AI-generated and “not a therapist” acknowledgements) form part of your agreement to use these features.

8. Safety features

The Service may display safety overlays, crisis resources, or limit certain interactions when our systems detect risk signals. These features do not guarantee detection of every risk and do not create a duty of ongoing monitoring beyond what the product provides.

9. Intellectual property

Labela, its design, trademarks, and software are owned by Bakay Partners or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the apps for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You retain rights to content you submit, and grant us a licence to host, process, and display it as needed to operate the Service (including AI processing via our backend).

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bakay Partners is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or emotional distress arising from use of the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.

11. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk, or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using Labela at any time and delete your account where available.

12. Governing law

Unless mandatory consumer protections require otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of İstanbul (or another venue required by mandatory law) may have jurisdiction. Counsel should confirm the final venue clause for your corporate structure.

13. Contact & changes

Questions: info@bakaypartners.com. We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Material changes may be notified in-app or by email.
